Here Come The Girls!

It's a big year for Women's golf In Ayrshire in 2015. With the worlds best looking to tee it up over two weeks of challenging links golf and do battle with their competitors, themselves and of course two of Ayrshire best loved courses.

Dundonald Links will play host to the 2015 Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open.
The high profile tournament will immediately precede the Women's British Open from 2015, mirroring the current set up on the Men's European Tour. The unique agreement by tournament promoters WSM Communications, has created a successful strategy for the development of the championship and will result in an increased prize fund to 500,000 Euro's. Dundonald Links

Attention will then turn to Trump Turnberry and The Ailsa Course for The 2015 Ricoh Women's British Open.
As one of the five majors in women's professional golf  (the only women's major played in Europe) and a marquee event on the LPGA Tour, the tournament attracts the best players from around the globe. Turnberry's Ailsa of course was made famous when Tom Watson took on Jack Nicklaus in what is known as 'The duel in the sun' in 1977. Fast forward nearly 40 years and everyone here at Ayrshire Golf Scotland hopes we have the sunshine we did all those years ago, although a little brisk wind wouldn't go a miss! Turnberry Ailsa
