What a summer of golf

It has been a very busy summer of golf in Scotland. Two major championships, two European tour events and one ladies European tour event all took place in July and early August in 'The Home of Golf'.

It was all about the girls in Ayrshire though, with back to back weeks seeing the best lady golfers from around the globe competing on the west coast of Scotland. Dundonald Links was the host venue for this years Aberdeen Asset Ladies Scottish Open and with a field including world number 2, Lydia Ko, world number 5, Suzann pettersen and many more looking to claim the Scottish title. In the end a weeks best round of 66 saw Australia's Rebecca Artis take home the title and a prize cheque of 75,000 euros. Watch the highlights below.

Moving forward a week and it was the return of the Ricoh Women's British Open at Trump Turnberry Resort, one of the 5 majors in the Women's game.
Weather conditions where testing to say the least as the unseasonal weather battered the Ayrshire coast. Again it came down to the best round of the week of 65 by the world number 1 Inbee Park to take home her 7th major title and confirm her place as the best golfer in the world. Watch the highlights below.
